  I don&#39;t think Pama did anything to the numberring system. &lt;br&gt; De Villiers used it in a book on Genealogies of old Cape families that he &lt;br&gt; published, which he had collected from atrchival records. &lt;br&gt; Pama then revised and republished the book, using the same numbering. That &lt;br&gt; edition was well known, and is referred to as &amp;quot;De Villiers-Pama&amp;quot;

  A lot of people have adapted the de Villiers system to suit their own aims. &lt;br&gt; It depends on the purpose of your database. If you&#39;re only interested in the &lt;br&gt; descendants of someone, then it would make sense to retain the females and &lt;br&gt; their children in the numbering system, with the husbands getting the same

  I was wondering if someone would be kind enough to see if they can find &lt;br&gt; Lincoln Palmer in the 1920 and1930 censuses. From birth until 1910 (at &lt;br&gt; least I think it is him in 1910) I found him in Lucas Co., Ohio(various &lt;br&gt; townships in and around Toledo), but cannot find him in 1920 or 1930. &lt;br&gt; I checked with FamilySearch Labs to see if I could find a death certificate
