The problem is in identifying the start element without off-by-one
error. I hadn't time to think about it when I added the iterator, so it
remains a TODO item. But indeed, given the tree keeps the number of
elements near the root, it should be possible to find the path to the
start element in O(log N). (For a full binary tree, it would be trivial).

Yeah, I guess you really need to set *r-d-f-f* to double-float. I don't
recall exactly why I generated these files assuming the float format was
double-float. Perhaps because maxima defaults to having the float
format set to double-float?
If you load up all of the lapack routines, I think there's enough

So far, I prefer taking the pre-built packages from Debian.
Debian's cl-f2cl package doesn't have lapack.
There is also a Debian package cl-defsystem3. Is that

may be quite interesting, no one who currently works on a commercial,
published product, or who contemplates working on a commercial
published product in the future, can take the risk of using your
libraries because they are GPL licensed.

No, students would be two orders of magnitude more, at least, than
professionnal lispers.
A lot of students have to learn some lisp (or scheme), and forget
completely about it past the exam.
